Stripes should be painted on Friday! Time is running out but it looks like everything will be done in time.

Looking good. Man, those tires look skinny, especially on 7" wide wheels.

The rear end was painted black as an assembly, which means that the rear brake drums would be black and the parking brake cables would have black overspray on them where they enter the backing plates.
Also check the AIM for proper orientation of the tie rod end sleeve clamps. IIRC, there is an unusual orientation.

Not trying to pick the car apart, but the judges will!

Yep. All 69 Z/28's were equipped with 15x7-inch rally wheels. The early ones (Sept-Dec 68) were stamped "AD" and after that they were stamped "YH". Original, stamped and date correct YH wheels are on it now.

Jeff. A huge amount of THANKS for all your advice!!!!! Pick away!

I appreciate all the advice you can offer.

No problem - I don't want to come a cross as one of those guys just trying to find something wrong with a really nice car. But, if I can earn you a few extra points, it's all good!

Today the original headliner kept ripping apart and couldn't be saved. The material is thin and after 45 years, I think it was too dried out. Crud. A repop is on order.

Pics from this morning.

rear stripes are on:

You got that right Frank! It might take a small miracle. There is so much small stuff that gets forgotten and things that go wrong along the way.
