SHould deff. be a interesting combo. cant wait to see it next year. I wish I could get my junk into the 5.xx range and be somewhat competitive. If you need a backup trans let me know. I wouldnt mind yanking mine to help someone out.

Dont forget the 2950 includes driver.

2950 is base weight..-50 for single stage,-100 for 23 degree heads puts me at 2800# trust me i know x275 rules damn good..ive been in the mix of the rules for x275 all this yr an last yr..x275 org was a spin off of floridas now X real street class, that was started 3 yrs ago which john sears made and i helped with rules for that..that class was org a mix of nmca an nmra stuff, orsca modified street and some other stuff..john moved north and took them rules and tweaked them to make x275.

An yes i can get 600 out of a stock short block n/a..big cam, killer heads, worked intake, worked carb, stepped headers an race gas..remember top end is where the power is on a motor not so much bottom end.

but i will say my biggest issue im probley going to run into is piston to valve clearance..which if it comes down to me having to cut the stockers then rods and pistons will be going into the motor..i wont cut the stockers an spray on them..that is something i feel will not work and make the motor a 1 hit 60ft wonder.

yep ill be 2800#s with me in the car..another reason why i bought a stang notch..shit 1 of my doors is only around 28#,my junk will be a tin can an will make that weight easy..shit i know grudge cars that have bbc in them with stock suspension an are under 2500#s with driver..

heres how my doors pretty much look..just mine have not all the top rail cut away so i can hang aluminum door skins

Mines ~3100-3200 without driver and no weight reduction. I know the 9" and TH400 added some weight.

What are your plans for a rear? 8.8 or 9"? Them 8.8s can be strong as fuck sometimes.

8.8 rear..she already has 31 spline in her but im tossing them for 35s or 33s an yes 8.8s can take some shit..they been low 7s in stock suspension cars..just have to make sure you brace them right and weld them up good..

the th400 would of been less weight then the 700r4..about 15pounds lighter..the 9" def put weight in around 50-75#s depending on housing an stuff.. 3100-3200#s is the norm for them..you can get them down to 2800#s with you in it with work..

are we talking 600rwhp? or flywheel? either way good luck man because thats something i have never seen before with a stock shortblock NA. even for a 383 that seems to be difficult to achieve. but hey man if u know something we dont thats awesome i'd really love to see the envelope pushed. im going to attend a X275 race to spectate next season.

i really want them to add a 12.50 class to the quick street program

fly wheel..if i was running sb2.2 or some sick all pro 245s.18s or 15s heads then yes i would say 600rwhp..but it wouldnt be on stock pistons nore rods because they would have to be swapped to work with them..

Here the question why do you think it cant be done?
