Default Distributor help?

Well I'm wiring in the new MSD box and I really hate extending wires etc. I was wondering what you guys though about swapping the cap around 180* so a couple wires can reach. Anyone think theres any negatives?

The wires normally attach on the drivers side but I want to swap them to the pass. side. As long as I keep #1 where it was before it shouldnt matter right?

X2, car doesn't know which way the cap is facing, just make sure the wires are in the same spot

Well it doesnt work. The cap and distributor housing have a keyway for them to lock into each other. Ohh well I extended the wires.
