The Marconi Station at the National Seashore has an amazing view

Had a get-togeather yesterday at Sandy Neck (we close the office every year on Sept 11 out of respect). We had about 50 people out on the sand. Anyway....We ended the night with an awesome Bon-fire. Sunset about 6:30...was off the beach by a little after 8:30. It was a great ending to the day. Is it possible to try to work in a fire at the beach at the end of cruise.....

oo damn I wanna go!!! my camaro aint on the road tho:( any one wanna pick me up when you hit wellfleet? I'll show you the best views and photo op spots and take you down THE best cruising roads? im right down the highway from the marconi station behind the big dunkin parking lot. it would be great to finally meet some of you guys too!

We should try to hammer out some details. I like Ben's idea of meeting near the canal to start and then heading out, does that sound good to everyone? And what time could people be there? Noon maybe? Kalstar's idea of a bonfire sounds good too. I liked the idea of jet skis too but SOME PEOPLE weren't down with that!!! :P Should we plan on driving to the National Seashore? Any other ideas for stops? Chatham Light is cool too, there's almost always seals on the beach, not a lot of parking there though.

ok just read the whole thread, if you guys are ending in wellfleet/truro I'd still love to go for a ride -if some one wants to pick me up- even if its just for 10mins lol haven't been in a *moving* fbody in 3yrs now! if not I'll make some suggestions for you guys here.

wellfleet & truro: main st to holbrook(awesome spot to hear exhaust lol), holbrook ave to commercial st to the town pier, pier to kendrick ave, kendrick ave to chequessett rd, chequessett to duck harbor rd(up to you guys, cool rd w/ new pavement but ends in a dirt parking lot otherwise you can turn around @ great island parking lot) back down chequessett to holbrook, holbrook back to main st, main st to W main st, W main st to pole dike rd, pole dike island to bound brook island rd, bound brook island rd to old county rd, old county rd to mill pond rd, mill pond rd to depot rd down to pamet harbor. back down depot rd to S pamet rd(cross under rt6) down to ballston beach, back down S pamet rd to collins rd, collins rd to rt 6, rt 6 to gull pond rd, gull pond rd to gross hill rd, gross hill rd to newcomb hollow beach(perfect photo op place right in front of the ocean wide enough to fit everyones car!), back down gross hill rd to ocean view drive, -now you could continue down ocean view to the highway or you could take cahoon hollow rd(or go down to lecounts beach and double back to cahoon hollow) which is an awesome cruising rd and ends up back at rt6, up to you. rt 6 to marconi beach rd to marconi beach or marconi station(&white cedar swap) or both.

eastham/orleans: rt 6 to cable rd to nauset light beach, cable rd to ocean view drive to coast guard beach(both great photo op locations), ocean view drive to doane rd, doane rd to nauset rd, nauset rd to locust rd(cross rt 6), locust rd to great pond rd, great pond rd to samoset rd, samoset rd to first encounter beach? your call, samoset rd to herring brook rd, herring brook rd to bridge rd, bridge rd to rock harbor rd. left to go back to the rotary/rt 6, right to go to rock harbor... now let me know what you guys want to do here and if you want me to keep suggesting routes, could direct you guys around orleans and up to chatham on the best roads to drive if you'd like? but I highly suggest my route so far, especially the wellfleet/truro leg! I used to wake up at the crack of dawn to rage the route almost on a daily basis lol

I don't know any of the roads so just tell me where

I'll write up some more detailed directions and highlight the roads on a map for ya, course if some one picks me up I could ride point and let ya know where its safe to get on it some too if you guys wanted to do that;)
