How the oil pan issue come out?

My father-in-law came over yesterday and we changed out the transmission pan. It had a good sized hole in it.

We might change the oil pan today. I have a wedding to go to, so I'm not sure. We got all the bolts out except for a heavily rusted one that holds the dipstick tube. I put PB Blaster on it last night and hopefully it will loosen up.

The oil pan had about 1/4" of JB Weld on the entire bottom. I cracked off some of the JB Weld and found two holes in the oil pan.

I'd be terrified of giant rams as well, could have leveled the house at any moment. Glad you acted quickly and with a level head, saved alot of lives.

I hope the motor isn't damaged with all the holes in the pans?

It seemed to be running OK, while leaking oil on the driveway until I put a pan underneath. I got all the bolts out, but the old pan is still trapped. I think I might have to raise the engine up.

What the heck are those, yaks? LOL

Use a piece of 2X4 and a bottle jack.
unbolt one motor mount then swing the motor up.
use 2X4 to wedge between the motor and motor mount.
pan will now come out without lifting the whole motor.'
I Done it this way a few times.
