Josh it makes no real difference what came stock. all you need to know if it fits into the yoke on the 9" or not. BUT stock 3rd gen from 1985 up i believe were all 1310's. my ford 9" from a bronco was also a 1310. i used a stock driveshaft. if that housing has a 1350 yoke on it, get a 1310/1350 ujoint and your done. a stock steel drive shaft will handle the load of what your doing. unless you spray it out of the hole or sumthing you'll be fine.

Thats the thing. I know the slip yoke for the trans is a 1350 and I know the rearend uses a 1350 but I dont know what the shaft uses so I can get the correct conversion U-joints.

measure it and you will get the answer from my post. and like I said 1310 was the 4th gen also if I were you I would just get a new shaft with 1350 all around. my 1310/1350 u joint lasted 1/2 a track day on et streets. snapped it right in half

^^^ thats cuz you break everything you touch. But josh hes right. if your going that route just spend the extra doe and get a shaft made up.

The shaft I have is a 3.5" steel shaft, got it from a kid who used it for a th350 swap with a stock rear. It's just got the wrong slip yoke for me and the rear u-joints dont match. I want to use this one for now.

bring it to a drive shaft shop. best one around is south shore bearing. have em conver that shaft if its not a 1350 shaft to a 1350 shaft. they can cut the yokes off and reweld new ones on and balance it. for usually under 200 bux.

how long does it usually take them do fix a driveshaft..i have to get mine on the s10 fixed...

Call em depending on whats wrong with it, it may be cheaper to get a used one sometimes.
