I don't believe there is. My atty asked the same question but never got an answer back.

It has been a mess but I think a lot of foreclosures are. All the skeletons come out during the title search. I definitely will be getting title insurance also.

From the sounds of it, would be a very well spent investment if anything else just happens to surface. A guy I work with had some federal liens on a property he purchased in North Carolina. Just so happens that the company who did the title search and sold him the insurance "missed" those. Honestly think they didn't do the search in the first place, whacked him for the service fee and just let it go. He had no idea there were any liens on it till he went to sell it and almost got screwed. But luckily for him, he had the insurance and the company had to clear it all up. Took almost 3 months to get it sorted out.

Hope it works out for ya soon man.

HA HA.....It's seems like everything I do ends up being a long project Mike. Even getting a closing date can take 6 months.

Not living there and no payments....since I don't own it yet. They have my 10K deposit though.

yeah that sucks!! Hey im sure you know But thats gunna be in an escrow Collecting Interest!

DavidS 03-08-2013 02:18 PM

Too bad the interest rates stink right now. If Wells Fargo gives me their 9 month CD rate of 0.15%, for 6 months I would end up with an additional $7.50.

I haven't driven over to the house in about 2 weeks. Hopefully the roof is still on the place.

I just found out that the Federal Tax Lien was released. :nanawrench:

Time for a closing and then another restoration project!!!
