I have a 5.1 capable Sony receiver that I bought about 13 years ago but I've never actually connected a 5.1 device to it.

not bad. hopefully you didnt waste the $545 it retails for??? its on AMAZON right now for 300. i was looking at this wen i got my Pioneer. the pioneer offers the same functions yet better speaker/sound controls. plus im not a fan of HTIB systems. the speakers they use could always use some improvement. BUT good luck with it.

Surround sound built into my pc and bose surround small speakers for the win. Not the best setup but pretty amazing for pretty dam cheap! :klab:

I do have a sony reciever though only thing is I play Blu ray movies off my pc so I only get true surround when I watch movies BUT when I watch tv or play PS3 I just have the reciever and speakers sound not TRUE surround but I'd rather save it for the movie watching anyways.

Not gonna lie I watched literally 16 seconds before I was distracted by a light up pen on the computer desk lol

decent little system. personally more of a Sony fan, but when it comes to home theatre systems finding a receiver that fits the demands of your entertainment needs is just the start.

I find building your own system is better than buying a box system. Not the cheapest rout, but you'll find better quality buying speakers that can handle more power.

Think of it as buying a set of wheels then finding a better set of tires that will handle your needs.

I prefer Yamaha receivers, but if you don't already have a Home Theatre that should be a nice upgrade.

Now onto a Nice Big TV, That's where it really get's fun!!

Nothing like Porn on nice 50" or 55" TV.... It's almost life size:giggle::nanafuck:

I got a 68" DLP
and a crappy RCA surround sound system lol.

DAM at that point you should consider saving all that money on a physical shrinking device so you can stay a 68" TV but make it look EVEN BIGGER!!! NICE!

what are you talking about shrinking? cause I think he's trying to compensate for it

Yeah it is. We went to the movie theater a few months ago, looked at eachother, and wondered why bother? With how far away from the screen you are it's the same viewing size lol.
We love it though :)

yeah well im through spending money at the theaters for medi ocre veiwing expieriances.

then spend the doe get a harmon kardon 7.1 and some Polk Audio Surrounds. a pioneer sub and a Klipsch Center. THATS my ideal setup! But thats me! haha

I mean like shrink your body so the tv is proportionally bigger. so you don't have to get a new house for a bigger tv hahaha

system is hooked up and ended up with Klipsch speakers.
(denon speakers are going in the garage)
got my CD player hooked in it aswell.
sounds awesome.
bass shakes the floor and highs are outstanding.

I prefer Mirage, Klipsch seem to have to way much highs for me with those damn 'Horn' Drivers:bird:

yeah but me i like the Highs! So its all personal preference!

To me the point of high end speakers is to have as flat a frequency response as possible
