QUICK! 95 Audi A4 for 3k?????????

My buddy has a silver 95 A4 quattro 5speed. Its got 102k miles on it. Amazing condition, runs great and paint is pristine after I buffed it ;) Heated seats moonroof all that, LOADED! He wanted 3600 and needs it gone soon. I said if I gave you $2900 tomorrow would you do it? He went for it. What do you guys think should I do it and be ballin' with heated seats all winter AWD and moonroof and park my baby Z all winter or pass it up and stay within my price range which is really 2k :( I have the 2900 for it but I'd be pretty low on cash after that, which means no mods for the camaro :( Any major problems with these cars? Need advice asap please :(

post it back up try to make your money back.. you already spent it...drive it while trying to sell it maybe get 3100 for it and come out on top then look for something else and have more money for the camaro!

KLAB 11-09-2009 02:42 AM

Yeah I could prob def get more than 3k resale...

KLAB 11-09-2009 02:42 AM

Its tough, either this or a shitty Honda for 2k

irockidz28 11-09-2009 02:46 AM

thats very true it would prolly be the nicest "winter beater" around lol

Navy01z 11-09-2009 02:46 AM

Id get the Audi dude but dont fuck your friend over by reselling it. If he is willing to hook you up with that deal it would be a pretty big douchebag move on your part to resell it for a profit on him.

c4boom 11-09-2009 02:57 AM

i am not a fan of them my self and the way i look at it if you get it run it for the winter and resell it thats ok as long as your buddy understands that you may sell the thing in the spring. also the insurance is going to be nuts from what i have seen

KLAB 11-09-2009 04:15 AM

Based on info I got about it I don't think I'm gonna do it, I'll stick to looking for a 2k or under civic or accord... And it would be nice just drive it all winter and resell it in spring, and my friend would not give a hell what I sell it for after. He knows I could sell it for 3600, but right now he just wants it gone asap. Me and my buddies, we all take care of eachother. :D I do a lot of work for this guy anyways :P

These seem better? The more sensible for me... I can see a box with a Pacesetter logo arriving at my door after this car, no so much with the Audi hahaha :klab:

c4boom 11-09-2009 04:59 AM

y you so into the honda's

CamaroRacing12 11-09-2009 05:59 AM

KLAB 11-10-2009 04:31 AM

Didn't buy it... I am afraid of the timing belt. :(

sciff5 11-10-2009 04:35 AM

if the timing belt hasnt been done thats prob 1500$ right there.. so no wonder hes trying to get rid of it

ILuvPizzaTimes10 11-10-2009 09:04 AM

no were near 1500 But still expensive i think we used to charge like 700 parts and labor including pump. i dunno man id rather get a cheapo car needs some work for under a grand. and have some spending money then be strapped for cash over a car that may or may not need work anyway.

sciff5 11-10-2009 04:12 PM

You'de be surprised. I'm pretty sure thats what they charge at the stealership I know its over 1k. My neighbor just had it done on his a4 and the dealership quoted him 1k+ I believe it was 1500.. but at something like 120$/hr.. for labor it can add up quick.

He ended up going to a local euro shop and they did it for under 1k. Still expensive though.

S10!!! Much more functional. and i hate working on those fuckin subarus!!!! haha realiable to a point though.

irockidz28 11-11-2009 01:49 AM

id much rather drive the s10 over the scooby

c4boom 11-11-2009 02:03 AM

i dont like the wagons to heavy hard to drift in the snow. the entire point of a winter beater is to be able to have fun with it. s10 would could be fun

irockidz28 11-11-2009 02:30 AM

i have gotten pretty damn good at drifting mine in the snow
