Centerfolds 2000 car show - Sunday, July 31st
 

Ok, nailed down a date with my managers. Now it's time to start planning the show. He basically told me "here's the location, do what you like to put o. A good show." and gave me a small budget to work with for trophies and a police detail.
So, is anyone definitely down to help with working the show? Basically helping to guide cars around, may do a couple small competition things (muffler rap, slow drag...) and working the gates?
Post up if you want to help work it. No pay offered, but you will get to bring your car in for free and if enough of us here do it I'll set up a club specific area.
If you don't want to work it that's ok too. Everyone is welcome to come hang out. Let me know who's in to help out though so I know how many people I have and how many more I need to find.

If Im not working Im in but I hat to sound wishy washy but I wont know till that week. .and ill help out for a bit once i get there.

Boomer that's fair. I'd rather you say that than tell me yes and then wind up not making it. This way I don't coun on it but if you do then great :)

And alex, the club opens at 3 on Sunday's so probably going to do like a 3-8 or 8:30 kinda thing. But I'll most likely need whoevers helping set stuff up to be there by like one ish so we have time to get ready.

True dat. But this is a car show at a strip club. Good luck getting any of the girls out and about before noon time for anything lol.

Now it's time to blitz the internet with it and see if I can fill up the lot.
Already think we have about 20 cars and enough space for about 70 so I need to get an accurate head count and/or set up pre registration.

Actually from what I'm hearing I have a pretty good sized group of subies coming. Like 10-15. I'll know better if they all come down next week to pre register like they say theyre going to.

Last time I let her drive the wrx she was riding the clutch out at 4k. Ya I don't think that the stock clutch could take to many more of those or my wallet.

Eh, trust me, the stock clutch will take a hell of a beating lol

Three weeks away bump! Pre registrations are starting to roll in but spaces are still available.
Classes have been set as well. Going with less than the past few years but we've also cut admission price by more than half. I think there's still enough going on to give people a chance to go home with something. Classes as follows:
Best Domestic pre 1980
Best Domestic after 1980
Best Asian import
Best European import
Peoples choice
Centerfolds choice
Biggest steaming pile
Bad ass award (car you most think would hand your car it's ass)
Also planning on doing a muffler rap competition and a slow drag.
One more thing, to keep it interesting all of the classes except Centerfolds choice will be participant judged. Every car that registers will receive a voting ballot and you guys will vote for the class winners.
So, clear your schedules and come on down. Let's make it a good one.

Hey Matt are you still willing to offer people who volunteer to help out free entry?

Yup maddie our nats brainstorming laid the groundwork and jami and I sat down the other night and made the final tweaks.
I like making it participant judged too. That way no one can bitch about the winners. Everyone picked them ;)

And yes alex, if you want to come down and help keep things on track we won't take your money ;)

Cool, I figured if you had a lot of people signing up and it would cost you a paying spot I wouldn't expect a hookup. But I will plan on getting there early and helping out, and I'll bring my camera and get some pics too.

No worries there alex. I already factored in some spots for people helping work the event. And it's not all about making every last dollar it's more about getting people there and just having a good time. Giving away a few spots is no big deal. All my manager wants is admission to cover our expenses.
