What do you think about Factory Five's new kit?

Uses the WRX as the donor. 227hp (stock) 1800lbs. 300hp with very minor mods. Should be a rocket even in stock form. Completed car cost $15K or less? The kit will be $9,999. Everyone knows this is a local company?
Thoughts on the rendering below? |
Thats exactly what I wanted to do with an Miata, but better lol
|
So I take it you don't like it.
|
cool! would be fun in a hard top!
|
it would be weird to see that car with the sound of a Subie. But awesome at the same time
|
yeah i agree with mike. wierd soundin like a subie. and im not a fan of open top cars But the price is nice!!
|
yeah I'd rather the sound of a v8.
|
The exhaust will be chambered to emulate a flat crank. This version is the race/track car. The hard top will be the street version and that will be available first followed by the race model posted above. If I build one it will be the open top/Race track model.
What do you think of the appearance? Some love it, others.... not so much. What is your thoughts on it's looks? |
I think its awesome

Check out DENT motorsports in norwood, they specialize in Subies and EVOs and all sorts of Rally inspired vehicles. |
You can check it out in person this Saturday at Factory Five's Open House.
FREE FOOD..!! Click here for info... http://www.factoryfive.com/whats-new...june-9th-2012/ Here's a preview of their latest kit.... http://www.factoryfive.com/kits/project-818/ <> |
My understanding there will be 4 GTM there, 10 Hotrods and about 200 cobras. All on private property, so burn outs are not only allowed but encouraged. Tow Rd in Wareham across from the new Lowes. And oh ya, free food.
Another year past and my GTM is still not done....... agggghhhhh! |
Can't believe it's that time already for their open house...keeps coming quicker and quicker every year. Do have to admit though, they do some pretty sick looking stuff.

Targa model??

Great time yesterday, hope some of you made it. As for the 818, I will have it in my garage by this time next year. Awesome little racer, cheap and easy to put together. Time to find a crashed WRX.

I think a wrx motor will be amazing reliable platform in this car... When I worked for a different auto transport co Eagle Talon base setup that was modded for a buggy that weighed around 1400 with me in it.. Was putting down around 300hp (until we found the boost controller) and OMG that thing was ridiculously fast! So much fun to rip in that car. I can only imagine what this would be like
|
do want..so theyre saying a wrecked wrx will run you roughly 5k?
