There are still good people around
Well guys as most of you know I have had some bad misfortune lately with my Camaro. Now I am a member of need2speed.com which is strongly based out of s.Florida. One of the local guys on the board works for a shop called horsepower sales and him and his boss are donating a ls1 for my Camaro. I just found out and can't believe what I read. It really shows you how close knit the car community is. Now mind you besides racing him at the track a couple times one night I really don't know him personally. Here is the link to the thread.

Are ya going to help the guy in some way? You know the saying that one hand washes the other right? |
I am definitely speechless about this. Looks like I will be sporting a horsepower sales banner on the Camaro windshield most likely. Haha.

Justin that is a great deal congrats for you. Thats great there are people like that. Maybe the guy that sold you the engine will come through as well for you.
|
Yeah if he does I will give the money to Frank from horsepower sales.

That really is awesome

Awesome to hear that all is coming together. That's probably one of the things I have noticed since I have been around cars. Started with my dad and all the guys he hung out with as a kid and helping each other.always helps to pay it forward. The first Camaro I bought and built was with help from my dads friends. This guy, Jim Johnson, that my dad grew up with offered to build my 355 for a case of beer with all the machine work as well! I am talking about balance, blueprint, and bore the block, mill the heads, bronze wall the valve guides, and port match the intake to the heads.
That is the reason that I have always put myself into the car guy world. There's a certain sense of family that emanates in everything associated with it. From the endless doing for the less fortunate, fundraising, to just lending a helping hand, that's what makes us a special breed and makes me proud to associate myself with it. Glad to see it's working out for you! |
Thats some good people right there!
