Made a few passes

Went to test n tune at Lebanon Valley last night for a few runs. Haven't changed anything on the car so no reason to expect anything different but what the heck. Yes I have the slowest 4th gen in the club. Eat shit. :p

First run: no burnout, dead hooked
60' - 2.018
ET - 13.801
MPH - 99.8

That was actually my best 60' ever by a hair. ET was just a few hundredths off my best time. Probably shouldn't have filled up the tank before I went.

Second run: no burnout, spun a little
60' - 2.194
ET - 13.888
MPH - 100.19

That is the car's best trap speed yet, and only the second time it trapped over 100 mph. The wheelspin probably actually helped.

Third run: burned out, still spun
60' - 2.201
ET - 13.958
MPH - 99.5

This run I not only spun on launch but it got a little loose on the 1-2 shift too. I decided to call it a night after that because I didn't want to put the car into the wall. 2nd and 3rd runs were in the right lane so I'm guessing it wasn't prepped as well or was just a little slick. Despite only having a 2.0 60' the car felt like it left great on that first pass. Every run was launching off idle. Nitto 555Rs at 25 psi.

I bet you I'm slower

Didn't want to put into the wall? On a 13 second pass? I did it and didn't even pass the 60' mark!! lol

Nice runs Alex.

Doesn't take much power to lose it on a slick track!

Camaro9969 05-03-2013 10:35 AM

I didn't know street night started up ill try to make it next week.

Slowhawk 05-03-2013 12:56 PM

You could bracket race that thing.

Formula413 05-03-2013 03:44 PM

It's perfect for brackets but I can't cut a good light consistently. Had an .020 but also a red light and a .1xx.

BigMac76 05-04-2013 01:10 AM

Yeah consistency is key. But you are getting the experience and having fun with it. That's all that matters man.

Very cool Alex!

I definitely see you bracket racing at some point.

SLP IROC-Z 05-04-2013 04:48 AM

pretty good numbers for your mods! play with the tire pressure to get just the right amount of spin, 1.9x 60 and bottom 13.70s

Formula413 05-04-2013 04:53 AM

I'm not sure it could do a 1.9 60' without more mods, possibly. Best ET was 13.76.

SLP IROC-Z 05-04-2013 05:17 AM

youre already very close to 1.9. you might be surprised.

STALLLL!!!!! NEEDS A STALLLLL!! haha great time. and like the guys sed. youd be the one getting chased! Easy bracket car!

Formula413 05-05-2013 01:49 AM

I did bracket race a few times. One run was fun cause a guy with a faster car thought he was gonna sandbag me. Chases me down and fender races me to the end of the track. But I had a good light and ran within a few hundredths of my dial and he broke out. That was pretty cool :D

CamaroRacing12 05-06-2013 02:13 PM

bracket racing is a lot of fun. great runs alex. hea dup there late october and make sure u hook and you will run a 1.9x 60ft

ILuvPizzaTimes10 05-06-2013 11:55 PM
