The old SS is returning!!!
So while on my detailing business trip to Florida over the past couple weeks I received a call from the owner of my beloved SS Camaro. Pretty much he was calling me to ask if I wanted it back!
At that moment I had so many different emotions run through me I didn't know what to say except absolutely! Of course after our initial conversation I would have to think about it. I mean I did just sink a ton of money in the GTO. But I have to say sentimental value and memories are invaluable. Ever since selling it my oldest son has given me shit lol. So the decision was made upon my return from Florida that I would list the GTO for sale and see what happens. Unfortunately I can only have one toy. Well as of today I have a pretty much done deal. The potential buyer has already agreed to my price and will be flying out next week. Once that deal is done I will purchase the SS back! SS V2 will happen sooner or later. Will probably just cruise around here and there this year. Can't put too much into it this year as I need to concentrate on my business and grow that. Depending upon how it goes I may turbo it this coming year. If not then the following year for sure. |
Nice!!!
That is so great.....to get back the one that got away. I've got a 1980 Z/28 that I wish I could have gotten back. Congratulations!!! |

Well starting to think the buyer may flake. He was very responsive to texts. We spoke on the phone for a while and made the verbal deal. He was adamant about booking a flight and would let me know ASAP.
Texted him 3 times over the past few days and no response at all. His plan was to fly out here Thursday or Friday. But that might not be happening now. |
That does not sound good.

Tht sux

Well it's relisted now. Asshole never returned a call or text.

If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.
I can call him and ask him a few questions. |
Ugh. Sounds like a Craigslist buyer.

My opinion. Keep the GTO. Stupid to sell it after you just got it the way you want it. Bet you will regret selling the GTO more.

I do have one other interested buyer from Florida. Said he could come after the new year possibly to check it out. If he doesn't come through then I am probably keeping it. Unfortunately the GTO is a tough sell. Even tougher when it's modded and not 8k like most of them lol. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to take a small loan for the SS. Need to focus more on the business this year. |

At minimum buy the 99 off a loan as a 2nd car. |

Totally agree with what you are saying though. If I could swing a loan I would. The good thing about the SS is the trans, rear etc are all pretty bullet proof. Unfortunately my GTO trans will need a rebuild sooner than later at some point, the stock driveshaft isnt going to hold and who knows about the stock rear differential. GTO stuff is just as pricey as Corvette stuff lol. But I did take it out the other day and it is a very very fun car to drive and you did an amazing job building and tuning it. |

Oh it definitely doesn't justify it at all. It's really the sentimental value of it. If I don't hear back from the interested buyer this week (he was getting settled into a new house) then the gto is staying put and getting some sticky tires put on it. Oh and I will probably have to come see you about installing a battery cut off switch in the back. |
