I stopped by a local place today, with my printout of my tiresonline.com quote firmly in hand.

Got a set of 275/40/17 Nitto 555's for $600 out the door. I'm happy with that.

Now I just gotta go burn off my old Michelins!

Yup, mounted, balanced, new stems, and tax. Crow City Motoring in New Bedford. They do mostly street and tuner stuff, but I figured they'd do a good job of mounting and balancing (and not scratching up my wheels), they do alot of high end wheels there.

I figured it was time I finally replaced them. Especially since you guys were telling me this time LAST YEAR that I needed new tires, lol.

The dryrot got way worse over the winter, I can see the carcass through the sidewall cracks in a few places.

No way I'd pass tech next weekend.

This is the reason I just plan on buying a rim/tire package when my tires are worn.

4 new rims/tires for $1200 shipped. Sell mine for $800 and only $400 for new tires...LOL

I was thinking of doing that, but I actually like my wheels. Plus any aftermarket wheels that I would actually want are $$$. Some of them look good, but I just couldn't bring myself to do Vette wheels.

Yeah, I didn't want to wait any longer, since I'll be driving the car alot more now. It basically just sat over the winter, I was driving my Jeep, and that just made the tires deteriorate even more.

Tires are finally one! I like em! They look good, and seem to be a bit quieter than the Michelin All Seasons that were on there before. And I bet they'll hook a hell of alot better too! I couldn't really test it today since it was so wet out.

Yeah, I got all 4 for 607.50, with tax, m&b, and chrome valve stems.

I was happy with that.
