o2 questions?
 

Cant seem to get rid of these codes since ive had the car. It first had 8 different ones now it has 5 codes. The first code is a p0307 which is a misfire in cylinder 7 which i did not have when i bought the car. That code could prob mean anything. The other codes are p0420 and p0430 with the same codes also pending giving me a total of five. All it says for the last codes is catalyst efficient threshold not met, which i think maybe the cats but im prob wrong. I know the car def needs a tune. Tuning would prob fix some of my problems unless i need new cats. I was told that my car is probably running lean.
The only thing i did was have the rear o2's hooked up and i also changed the drivers side front o2 because it was throwing a no activity code.
Previous owner said he changed plugs and wires when he did the headers late last year.

Was not sure if i should get this fixed before i get it tuned or just have it done while im there.

Don i was going to call you and ask your opinion but i know your a busy guy and would need a few weeks notice. But i would like to set up something in the near future. Wanted to do this sooner but money has been tight. Im only driving the car twice a week. I dont want to damage anything further.

can you feel the car skipping at all? if its skipping i would not drive it at all till you figure out if its fuel(injector), vacuum leak, or spark. any of them can REALLY hurt the cylinder if you keep driving it like that.

do you even have cats in your Y Pipe? if you have aftermarket ones. most if the time they wont read Quite the same as a stock cat and if your on stock tune it will throw a code.

No it doesnt sound or feel like its skipping. I donk know if its me or not but it does seem to hesitate just a tad in low gears unless i punch it. It could be just some flat spots because it needs a tun. It does seem like there maybe something wrong. I do have cats. They look stock to me i cant tell. Dont see any brand name on them.

I did erase the code though on saturday when i was checking it. Ive only driven it once since then and that was just to go home. It was roughly 30 miles and the check engine light hasnt come on yet.

I might have someone local take a look at it and tell me exactly what it is before i bring it to get tuned. I dont have the space to start any major work on it unfortunately since parking is a premium.

cats stock? do you have long tubes in the car? if so they arent stockers. and the hesitation could be the skip under a load. pull the spark plug its not to bad to get too.

Yeah i have a set of pacesetter longtubes. the cats look stock but i guess they arent. If its cylinder 7 its the back passenger plug right? Ill pull a few of them just to check them out.

back drivers side plug. and check the boot while your there. an underload skip can be caused by a burnt plug boot or wire too

Would be alot faster,cheaper, easier if you just dropped it off to me.I can fix/tune it all at once. I see no point to bring it to someone local that will waste your $$ just changing parts because your throwing a code.
