As a few of you know from my facebook page I bought a T 56 trans today.

It is coming from a Camaro/Firebird junkyard in Arkansas. It is from a 2002 Firehawk and has only 61k on it. It is coming with the bellhousing, shifter, hydraulics, flywheel and pedals. I will probably be going through the trans to make sure it is good and upgrade the hydraulics.

Shipped to my door is $2200. Not going in the car till I have everything I need.

What are you gonna do for a console

Probably modify the factory one.

What you doing with the a4?

1st question I had was the 1st one asked. sure you don't want to column shift it? lol

6 on the tree, its bad enough with 3 the linkage always fkn got jammed up lol. It would be interesting if it can be done.

Nice!! I still love driving my standard, but getting used to autos with controllable shifting.... MY LGT doesn't have paddles but it does have a manual mode that will lock gears and let you bounce off the rev limiter all day long!! (The wife's not very happy when I do it though...)

My next car will have paddle shifters - I mean why not you can shift faster than with clutch, and now they all hold gears no matter what!!

Hell the latest Porsche GT3 is only available with PDK - and after the initial drives it seems like everyone comes away with the same impression - it's better/faster with all the same driving excitement!!!

But hell yeah T56 over an A4 all day long for driving excitement!!!:Funny_Smiley:
