Blending is the right way to go that being said though dark blues usually match fairly well regardless. Now if it were white, silver, pewter... Those are another story entirely

I understand what you are saying trust me. My guy i usually use painted my 01 ws6 nose with 100k on it and it matches mint!!! but to be honest he did do a test panel and made a adjustment to the color to make it match though but it was VERY close before he made his change.
i am looking to sell this car SOON so close will work for me if the price is right
