ok the squeeler goes on the back and have it in the up position. the book is DEAD wrong. you alway want the squeeler on the inboard/caliper side of the assembly for cases were a stuck slide will cause premature wear on the inboard pad the squeeler will still do its job. the little metal nub that hits the caliper is A: to index the pad for the ebrake assembly. and B: so it wont go together the wrong way. hope that helps. cuz well if it doesnt bring it to a garage..........
