Whenever I change pads (and actually more often than this), I'll clean and regrease the slider pins, flush out the old fluid with clean fluid, and replace the boots, shims, and clips. Try this.. you won't get obvious results right away. Your brakes might have better feel to them though.

flush the fluid everytime? damn...i have only had to do brakes once on my s10..original fluid...drums in the rear...original calipers up front...never touched the slides lol stops great
