This is a great thing! I honestly think 1988 even 1988 is to new of a cutoff date.

The NSRA, Right Coast and Good Guys all put on great shows with either 1972, or 30 years old as a breakpoint.

For those of you that think 1988 isn't fair, you need to look at the other side of the coin too. You think "shitboxes" shouldn't be allowed, but a newer 100% stock car should be allowed just because 'you' think it's the right thing to do?

I think they are doing this perfectly, with how they are choosing cars. If you have something newer, they are allowing you to submit pictures for approval and then they might let you in. If your car is worthy of a show, then you should have no worries. I do lots of shows that work things that way. If they don't accept your car, you need to understand that it is for the betterment of the entire show. The more strict they are with their car quality, the better the show will be.

That was one of the Summer Nats biggest downfalls. They would allow in so many shitboxes, that we all complain about, so then the real higher quality cars would end up staying away.

I now have to see what my schedule is for that weekend.
