I am assuming you mean dynomometer or dyno for short and in which case 305 hp is not alot at all mu stock ls1 did that. Your gearing would not allow 175 mph maybe the screen said that but it just can't happen. I understand that you had a cam and heads but it is a 305 and it is a conventional small block. It won't make much past 6-6500 max and even then doubtful. We are car guys here and understand how things work.

Once I am back in my Condo I scan post the report. I contacted GM Historian 1997 and asked what was highest known speed of 305. I told what got, they said its wasn't possible. Well until I sent copy of the report to them. They where shocked and had an engineer from Chevy call wanted me he wanted a copy test report and all part numbers. Feel free not believe. Btw The cylinder heads not 305 heads the were supposed to be for 350-400 cid only.
