All Done
Well I finished up the wifeys Z28 tonight. It fired right up and purred like a kitten. Just need to get the codes tuned out from deleting the egr and air systems. Also would like to thank Don for the stock cam.
So I did manage to find what caused the lifter and cam to take a shit. When I was taking the head bolts out I found a retainer piece from the side of a rocker arm on top of the head bolt in the middle of the head. Turns out the rocker puked it needle bearings on one side. Were just hoping that we don't have any more issues down the road. I did notice some metal shavings on the drain plug. Oh well what can ya do.
