Default Just got home from DC

Well, just got home from our trip to Washington DC.
Went down for a family vacation for a few days but as luck would have it I found some parts that just happened to be close enough for us to pick up and save us on shipping.
And as I promised alex when I got back, here's a pic of one of the wheels I bought for the 68:

17/18" staggered set. Brand new in boxes. Pics don't do them justice. The more I look at them the happier I am I got them. Not flush like most c5 wheels. They have a nice lip to them:

And, the biggest score of the trip. Settled on a truck arm rear suspension for the car. Was gonna fab up my own since I didn't want to pay the $2,300 hot rods from hell wanted. That is until I found a complete kit, brand new in box for a 68-72 nova on protouring.com for a grand in virginia. Only difference between the nova and the fbody kit is the front ears on the crossmember. Scoffed it right up. I'm happy.

So, yee haa. That was this weeks adventure. Now it's time to burn our pos jeep. That was a whole different part of the adventure lol.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I can't wait to see them on the car!!
Been wanting to change up the look for a few years now and I think this will do quite nicely.

As for the jeep, well, she wen through the harness on valentines day while I worked on the 68. Cleaned up some bad contacts and had it running mint. Ran perfect until the day before we left. Decided it wasn't too bad and went anyway. Well, by new jersey it started bucking and chugging and basically got just under 8 mpg the rest of the way down.
Ran like poo most of the time down there too. But, ran ok the whole way home hauling the trailer the parts were in. Until we got off the highway in mass. Then it was on it's face again. We give up. V8 swap real soon I think lol.
Had enough of this "jeep thing"
