Are they clear coat or raw? Eagles mag polish spray will remove all of the clear, then start with the sand paper, 600, 800, 1000 and finally 1500. Polish with jewelers black, red then white clay. Will look like chrome. Looking good so far.

To do a rim job correctly, take your time.

If you came to the Quabbin cruise you would have seen the shine I put on mine. I didn't sand them (but may do so in the future) stripped the clear off with aircraft stripper, and just polished the crap out of them.
