DO IT!
I was stationed there while in the Navy and It was great!!!!!! rum is dirt cheap! there is always a party going on! the puerto ricans are not like the assholes that are here on the mainland. make sure to visit the BLACK ANGUS and RIVIERA while in San Juan!!!!! but they are probably gone lol (whore house/ bars) the only thing you gotta watch out for is the screaming MEMEES! (walk in the grass without socks on and youll know what im talking about!) Ill say youll be an idiot for not taking this opportunity!!!
