l thing that sucks about those is they dont hold a charge(if its the solar powetred one) and then you goto use it and for the first 5 or 6b strikes it wont darken and you get flashed. so dont buy a cheap solar powered helmet if you arent going to use it on a daily/weekly AT MOST basis.

welding school went fine.
my welds are almost perfect there but at home they suck.
so its gotta be the shielding combo gas or the mig wire!
at least thats what the instructor said.

i have never had that problem with mine, and ive done a lot of welding with it.

what kind of welder are you using? is it plugged directly into the wall or are you using an extension cord? not enough juice can make for crappy welds!
