static draw on a 2002 trans am... replaced the battery next week the battery is drained, i have read that any us spec ipod adapter can cause a draw on the battery and i plan on using an ammeter to trace the draw down on the pull fuse method.. question is that once i hook up a battery charger to the terminals i am getting the jack hammer on the front right headlight, is this normal when applying a charge to the battery once its completely dead?

once the battery is completely dead the headlight module needs to reset and pushes the headlights up quickly then back down to know were it is. aftermarket deck/amp? or alarm? can cause a small draw but when its effin Cold can kill a battery just that little bit faster.

Disconnect the battery and then charge it.
