I'm actually with Alex on this one. Yeah, old muscle cars are cool and only going up in value, but, they pretty much suck to use as a car.
If you want a showpiece, go for it. If you want something you can actually drive and enjoy, keep the fourth gen. Case in point, I've had my 68 for almost 18 years. Done the whole big stupid pump gas motor thing. Now it's getting tossed for an ls motor and a modern suspension cause old cars suck to drive lol.

You can't afford to put parts into your car, how the hell are you going to afford parts for that? Plus that car is easilly worth $15k. He'll trade straight up for your car?

I'd def do it, although I am a little leary on why someone would trade a car worth at least double for an LSX car. I'd give the Chevelle a really good once over. If he is legit you'd be a fool not to do it

If you want a track car, why not? I wouldnt plan on doing much highway driving or anything with that thing. Looks nice though.
Go over the car with a FINE TOOTH COMB.

Plus I've seen a bunch of other pics of it. Its def not worth 25k. I mean its nice but he even said that its not a show car but very presentable and solid. I did see one pic where the gas tank used to be and it seems ok but not perfect. Here is a link he sent me. http://s140.photobucket.com/albums/r...71%20Chevelle/
