with out a front splitter it would just create more nose lift at lower speeds. but for auto-x what speeds do you hit? 40 50? at those speeds you barely notice i bet.

I thought aero started to come into play around 60-80 and increase from there, thats where ive noticed it in any car ive owned anywho.
Like car vs truck, ive had many a slow roll wih them and stay dead even till around thoes speeds and then i would start to creep away. This was not the camaro vs trucks lol

Well an Acr viper can create this sort of down force
![]() Most nation car in AX have a 10 inch spoiler in the rear. I am choosing to go with 7 because it outdoes look as ridiculous and should provide some sort of functionality. I understand the faster you go the more downforce is created but I dont think this would be a case where I would need a front spliter. I think the fastest I have hit autocrossing was about 66 mph on a corner. Here is the car that has won nationals 4 times and best pax time overall 3 times. Also as I stated earlier if decide to trash the project I will only be out 12 dollars on angle iron. My investment in this is minimal at best and I'm still on the fence about proceeding. I am just working on this as a time waster instead of playing video games lol.

I wish my school had a bigger wind tunnel so I could do my capstone on this lol. Instead we have one to play with model planes.

I agree..
Looking at the chart it looks like it would help your grip on the higher speed auto cross turns 40-70 mph. Every Tenth counts.

I wonder if maybe the front splitter isn't as important because of the tendency of these cars to oversteer.
