I wish I had a before and after pic. Basically if you follow the slopes going up each side of the mountain and imagine them meeting on top that's where the top of the mountain was before it blew up.

Going to Glacier National Park tomorrow, they just finished plowing the road last week so I will be able to drive all the way through the park.

Colorado and Utah are the only western states that aren't on my route, that was just the way it worked out. But I will definitely do this again someday, and those two states will be prominent. And if I'm going to Pikes Peak I pretty much have to bring the Formula!

The road in Glacier National Park is called Going To the Sun Road. It's not a new road, it just takes until mid-late June every year to plow the mountains of snow off. I wasn't even sure it would be ready before I got there, cut it kind of close.

Got back from this trip Monday night. I didn't do a very good job updating this thread but once I sort through the gazillions of pictures I will start posting some up. The northeast sure looks different after all the places I've been.

WOW!!!! That is great Alex. The vacation of a lifetime. Holy Moly. Between work, kid, wife, cars, family issues, etc. sometime I feel lucky to get a couple hours to have a break.

You rule. From now on, I'm living vicariously through your adventures. LOL.

Thanks Dave, I hope I'm not the only person who gets some enjoyment out of this.

And don't worry Pizza, I got pics. About 2,900 of them, plus another 600+ on my phone.
