Your just burning the converter without a 2-step. A lot of lost torque on launch.
No way you should be hooking 10+ boost on launch unless it just isn't launching right. You should go this weekend, will learn a lot about turbo cars and launching ect. I know Curt with the 00 turbo Camaro is coming. |

Well I was all geared up to go even paid for a track rental tomorrow to dial it in better but just took it for a cruise didn't even really get on it and spun a rod bearing.
didn't expect that at all but pretty bummed. How the hell that it happened on the street and not beating the hell out of it at the track is beyond me. 1500 miles street driving 21 passes most with more boost also. But its a really annoying part to go. I will habe the oil analyzed. I think instead of fixing this one ill just pick up another and swap my cam heads oil pump and timing chain over. Def a kick in the balls though. Ill have the motor swapped by next weekend.

Its just crazy to have it happen randomly on the street. I got guys saying just put forged stuff in but if i had a built motor that doesnt mean it wont spin a bearing ![]() Joe is coming over sat to help me get it out and tear it down. Come on by sat if your around we will be out in the garage

Know the feeling. My first motor spun a rod bearing driving down the street. The damage was from all of the previous nitrous runs and drag racing. I am willing to bet you hammered most of the rod bearings while on boost and then one just had enough. Good luck on the speedy recovery!!!

The bearing probably got beat up from knock. Running 93 at the track at 15lbs will take it's toll on bearings.

Then after I got a supposed low mileage motor that went KABOOM after 10 miles. It shot 2 rods out the bottom of the pan. I was very pissed to say the least.

I was logging at the track and had no knock but i was just saying the same thing about pump gas. If I'm racing either its 100+ until I go e85 and on the street i won't be pushing more than 12psi with straight pump ever again! Now i just need to decide what to do grab another or repair mine. I really was looking forward to the x275 race
