The LS1 --> Basically have to change your life, or be a newcomer to the game to get into these...

is this getting into and LS1 vs LT1 argument!!!!
ive seen many LS1's get burnt by near stock lt1s Pizza, its a tough choice between an entire car swap or addressing the rust, i think swapping your motor into a obd2 is gonna be a bigger hassle than getting the floors fixed.

lol no arguing just joking around with eachother we know our possibilities.
Mike, I just realized how much of a hypocrite I am being roght now. I keep telling you you're gone for wanting to fix the rust and just get a clean shell, and I just realized I'm in the same situation as the 78 Z. I should just get a cleaner shell and build that but, it wouldnt be the 78!!! My 2nd gen means too much to me, just like your bird does to you, and thats why I still cant part with the rustbucket!!! I care more about the rusty 2nd rat than my clean low mile stock 4th gen!!! Its the memories.. Then again it is much easier to find a clean 4th gen shell than a clean 2nd gen shell so nevermind I just changed my reasoning go find a clean shell hahahah!

Your a Meat Head Kevin!!! and to answer you Quick it always will be a battle with Lt's and LS's. and most of the guys on here are comparing my HP numbers and what ive done at the track So Far. so what an LS in stockish form can do. i get that. and if i was on the other side looking id tell me the same thing. But like kevo pointed out the car does have some sentimental value but more so the engine. i build it Myself. no help from anyone and all bashing aside it runs AWESOME. i shouldnt have cheaped out were i did like i sed earlier and gotten a better known set of heads BUT dont knock the ENTIRE engine build for some shit ported heads. thats just childish. Now as far as fixing the rust over swapping to the LS PCM. its actaully cheaper and easier then you think wich is the only reason im thinking about this. EFI connections sells a complete LT1 on a LS1 computer swap. the LS1 pcm is FAR superior to my ECM and i was going to do the pcm swap anyway.

the only difference is the clatter on a diesel is from the injection process not piston slap and bad lifters!

LS1's are so amazing that my LT1 actually starts idling down when one pulls up next to me.
My car turns itself off when an LS1 wants to race because it is that scared. My LT1 is so slow that then im at the track they meausre my run as 13.82 minutes. My Lt1 is so heavy that when I punch it at the track the rear end just spins around and does a donut because no matter how much power you make the front end is too heavy to move it. My optispark is so shitty at reliability that I didnt get a single shock when I was changine my wires and my dumb little brother decided to crank it over. My lt1 is so heavy that I once tried to bunny hop a gaurdrail and only half of my car made it over. I wish I had an LS1....
