First real track outting with the new wheels and hoosiers. I set the tires to 15psi cold and went up for my first pass, left at 5 grand, car lugged down hard. 60' was good but lost a lot of momentum. 12.047 @ 114.17. The air wasnt good 1650' @ 8pm down to 1500' @ 10pm. i made changes to my front shock settings and launch rpm, which had negative impact on traction. i put my shocks back to the previous setting and a little less rpm, 5700, the car responded well and knocked off an 11.986 @ 114.54! Very impressive considering the last time it went 11.9 was with a -800 DA. Im pretty confident ill hit my goal of 11.6 later this season in better air the way the car sits, Then take weight out and go for 11.50s. Heres my slips

^ me too haha. Isn't there a formula for taking rotational weight off. Something along the lines of taking 60lbs of rotational weight is like taking 180 lbs of dead weight? Or something like that.

Yes but its a very rough estimate. To be more precise you should include the rotational velocity and radius. *pushes glasses up*

The formula that I made is;

Light wheels x 4 = Faster

Thats getting it buddy. Do you have a 2 step in that thing yet? I bet it would make for a lot more consistant launch. I love my lingenfelter 2 step. Easy to install and great color directions for different tranny setups.

I have a custom efi live operating system with a two step built in but i havent wired it yet. i definitly need it. Ive been getting it done with no two step, no shift light and a stock shifter haha

Had the car on the lift yesterday and found the right front brake caliper stuck, car was pulling pretty good and steering wheel was shaking on my way to the track friday, i thought i had a bad tire/suspension part. So i wonder how much that was effecting me. the wheel would barely turn by hand, cant believe the brakes werent smoking.

Car rolls so much easier now I can't get over it, I wonder how long that's been like that. Gotta be worth a few hundreths

I took the pins out, one was stuck good, wire wheeled them, flushed out the bracket, regreased the pins and reassembled it. It was stuck to the point it took two hands to turn the wheel before that.

someone on here told me steel brake lines instead of hoses helps that a lot. A stocker guy told me to shave your rotors down right before a race ;) insane stuff to go fast!
