Yeah all from the passengers side. One on the drivers side started wearing out the self guide washer also. Now I'm at a loss as to what to do.

you already know what to do new lifters and top end when you can afford it
x2
you got so much time and $$$ invested its a shame to get rid of it. if you got the room to store it i'd put it away for the winter early and give yr self a chance to calm down recoup some $$$ and work on it over the winter, u no how bad you'll want to finish her come spring |
^what they said
How much does it actually need? Are the heads themselves hurt or do you just need the valvetrain parts?
You have to fix it! That car is too cool, and you worked to hard on it, not to fix it.
But if you DO part it out, let me know, I'll take the headlight bezels. Mine are missing for some reason, my car looks like Johnny 5 when the lights are up. For some reason nobody doing part-outs ever has these. |
Gotta get some Steel rockers in there with guide plates.
Steel? Rather not and get a good set of comp golds I'm thinking. Maybe the LT4 GMPP's but that's after some head work again! Fuck my life.
Why not steel? They'll handle the stress etc. a lot better than aluminum will. My cam was similar sized to yours and I was told to use steel esp. with the spring pressures.
What was damaged on the heads?
