Cuz I have that much money just under my hood. I don't need or want another car. If this one doesn't get fixed I'm out of the game. So id like to fix my junk or get rid of it if its gunna take too long/cost too much.

I wouldn't take anything east side or cartek has ever touched.....

balls! I have SA rockers atm too.. I was hoping the rhoads would keep the low end tq near stock but sounds like it aint worth the risk.. how long did they last for you?

I dunno maybe 1500-3000 miles before they flattened out. Id say get guidplates and run them but I really didn't notice shit of a difference man. Not worth it imo

So i pulled the pass side head off today. broke 7 of the 8 inner springs. 2 valves are fucked and i stopped at 3 bad valve guides. and wen i say bad i mean i can move the head of the valve off the seat 1/4 of an inch bad. So there junk. repairable. ill sell em for cheap to someone who wants heads that made OK power and need work. but wtf do i do now. im not going to fix heads i wasnt happy with. trick flows? nothing and sell it. Awesome.

Seems like a monster engine like this should have had something like Trick Flows all along amirite? Why not look at it as an opportunity to upgrade? And yes I know Trick Flows are not cheap, but like they say, speed costs money. I think it would be worth it in the long run. Deck them out with good valvetrain parts and let it rip.

you gimme 3 grand and ill build a top end. ill give you my busted stock ported heads.......

Formula413 08-29-2010 03:45 AM

Hmmmm, for 3 large I'm gonna need a little more than some busted heads...maybe we can "work something out"...

c4boom 08-29-2010 05:00 AM

wow that sucks man i wonder y all the inners broke at least you know that the motor had a hell of allot more in it than how you where running it.
