I don't know much about Ford (other than the F350 at work is a piece of junk) but Shelby American Inc is not part of Ford and they just work with Ford, correct?

Maybe this is similar to Lingenfelter working with Chevrolet?

My favorite part Shelby provides no warranty on the engine and transmission, in either case. Lol
