Then after I got a supposed low mileage motor that went KABOOM after 10 miles. It shot 2 rods out the bottom of the pan. I was very pissed to say the least.

Holy shit man that sucks! Its hard to get motivated again im sure. I know I lost aa lot of interest in it after a full year of this shit but I was finally starting to have fun and just got my damn license!
