hey slowhawk i was curious if you tune lt1s? i had my headers put in over the summer and my car needs a tune bad. i might be able to get and obd1 cable

as far as I know he needs the software to do it too so you would need to buy lt1edit or tunercats I believe then bring it to him and have him tune it with the software. Correct me if I'm wrong Don

^ pretty sure he's correct on that but you also need to add the red lipstick and 9" heals. lots of affection and even feed him, then he might consider touching an LT1... lol

dont forget knee pads!!! hahahaha i bet you think its running super rich black smoke on shifts and feels like loss of power? LT1s with LTs run LEAN real bad up top dont beat on it till you have it checked out. what year is your car? PM the details of your setup.

the car doesnt feel that bad i think, its a 95 z28, LTs, ORY, catback and cai, thats about it. i ran it up NED without the lts and ory and it went a 13.62 @ 101, now with the LTs and ory it went 13.5 @ 102. i was hoping to see a little better improvement over the previous 13.6, and a buddy of mine is saying i need a tune badly, but idk

i wouldnt keep beating it untuned/unchecked! have it looked at professionally to be sure. LTs will make the car run lean. not only are you getting more air out of the motor hence getting more air in BUT you moved the O2 sensor another 5 feet away from the ports. all that adds to lean. MAYBE. haha cars are finiky. did you replace the O2's wen you did the headers? if not WHY!?!?!? alot of things could also add to a bad "tune" ands not even the tune.

the o2s were replaced when i put them in. i shouldnt of said i need a tune badly in the initial post but i think the car should be putting up better times comparing to what it did before the lts. i drove the car all summer and it didnt miss a beat, but im hoping with a tune it will pick up a little bit more power. its prob not gonna get tuned until the spring cause its put away for winter storage
