hey i want to do the transgo shift kit and corvette servo combo. so i got the kit and the servo and am taking out the servo but its no fitting on the side, like its too tight to get out/ does anyone have any tips for me? im assuming i have the drop the tranny a little bit? its like if i pull the cap straight out it catches the 4th apply piston and if i tilt it a little bit one of the ends goes back into the housing a little bit. has anyone done one of these before? thanks!!!

ive always done them with the tranny out. this way you dont screw anything up by not being able to see that well at what your doing. and you dont get residual car Goo inside the tranny wich can be fatal. id say take er out.

any tranny shop will have one. they will either give it to you or its 5 bux. But yeah best bet is to rip out the tranny.

Yup I've played with trannies while laying on my back and it sucks balls, having that constant little drip of trans fluid fall on you and all the awkward angles etc. fuck that.

It's easier to do with the tranny out.I also think with that kit you have to pull the tranny anyways to do work on the front pump.

i think you can do the front pump spring with the pump in the tranny But it is MUCH easier to do it with it out of the car and flipped over. and make sure they gave you a print out of were all your check balls are supposed to go!! and while your there check to make sure the balls havent cut a groove in the programing plates. if so go to a tranny shop and buy new ones!!

Nothing better then watching all the springs and check balls go flying in an automatic, fun fun fun! Make sure you don't lose anything and when you are done cleaning the parts, clean them again and then go ahead and clean them.
