Default Looking for a new fbody

So im letting go of my v6, I was originally looking at jeeps, but decided I need an fbody. This time around I would love to get a v8.

I was looking at this car:
http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/cto/1927043710.html

Now, that price is so low for an SS! I called and the guy said it has 72k miles, clean title. The car had the transmission rebuilt because of a bad sun gear. Other then that he said it was fine. But from the sound of it, he doesn't baby the car. The interiors shot(bad rugs, torn seats), and he said he would take me on a "power ride" and I'd sh!t my self LOL. Now do you think its worth the risk? I mean for 6k it doesnt seem like I can go wrong, but if it was abused and at that price just seems risky. He just replaced all the 02 sensors, but it is throwing code for what i think he said was AIR.

So inputs are welcome, im going friday to look at it, so none of you better go snatch it up on me!!! hahaha Just let me know what you guys think, or actually if anyones near there, maybe seen the car before?

theres better out there with around the same miles and given better care. I'd widen the search, I'm looking around for a friend of mine, but if you want a real nice deal Chef has this for sale... worth the interest

Ive seen Chefs car. Ive been in Chefs car. Very well taken care of and alot of extras which were done right. The car has been taken on power rides before but Chef is meticulous when it comes to keeping his cars in perfect running order. Cant go wrong there.

Yeah this clearly sounds like a car that's been abused, I'd steer clear. Just keep looking and be patient.
