Unhappy Dish or Direct TV?

I've had enough BS from my cable company and need to make a switch to satellite tv. I've done some research and Dish and Direct TV are about equal in price and complaints. I'm looking for some real opinions from people who use them to help sway my decision.

Dont go satellite, cuz if it rains out........NO TV!!!!! I had Direct TV for a good 8 yrs, It was good service, but everytime it rained, say goodbye to reception.

We've had really good luck with Direct TV. It takes a real hard downpour to mess with the dish. Theyre both the same parent company though.

I assume you have either Charter or Comcast, what a fuckin JOKE..

I used to work foro Dish and their service (if installed correctly) is great, even through heavy weather days. it's more a wind factor when it comes to satellite or trees in the way of line of site.

I had dish when I worked for them, and again when I moved to an area where it made more sense to get dish over cable. but now I have Optimum and couldn't be happier.
