Not only is it local for me I had planned on going to this dealer soon to look at something new. I just may still and get the deal within reach of closing the sale then bail after learning this crap. Kids going to go through the same training I went through (minus the training in MA part). And will likely be in my old unit.

I wouldn't blame the whole dealership, sounds like it was just the service manager behind this. Let the kid go after them in court, where he will win easily because the service manager was enough of a retard to tell him in writing that he was being fired in violation of federal law. I bet the dealership's lawyers are taking turns kicking him in the nads right now.
This totally seems to embody the selfish, I'm in it for me mentality so many people have today. I can guarantee you this guy likes having a military defending his country, but when it inconveniences him personally? Woah, too much to ask. Fuck him.

Oh it's clearly an uneducated service manager. This dealership used to be Dan Perkins Chevy who sold off the Chevy dept to his partner and moved himself into the Subaru shop down the road.
Hope the kid gets a new truck out of it at the least.
