I have like town fair tire and sullivan tire up in my area but looking to see if anyone knows a cheaper place. I just need to get 275/40-17 street tires to throw on my ten spokes to start driving my Z. I am not to particular on the brand, I had some BFG gforce sports on my old wheels and I liked them real good in rain but i wont be driving in rain much anymore with both cars on the road this time so I might just get cheapo's...

I actually buy mine from AmericanMuscle.com which is funny because they specialize in Mustangs but I always seem to find the tire I'm looking for from them for the lowest price. Plus they do free shipping etc. And if you order rims they do free mounting and balancing so they show up bolt on ready. As for a local place no clue I'm still new to the area.

Just picked up my set of 10 spokes. Now I'm trying to decide if I should go with quality tires or cheap out and have fun spinning when I dont have the DR's on lol:
Cheapo sumis ($479.96 free shipping):http://www.americanmuscle.com/sumito...275-40-17.html Nittos ($639.96 free shipping):http://www.americanmuscle.com/nitto-...275-40-17.html Anyone have had experience with these and wanna chime in? I dont trust the mustang guys saying they have traction in 1st. I know my stock lt1 will prob roast the sumis till top of 2nd lol. Conversely, I found both for cheaper on tire rack and ebay respectively: Sumi's ($444.42 shipped): http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....m=74WR7HTRZ2V2 Shittos ($620 free shipping): http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-NEW-275-40...a1cd45&vxp=mtr

That is true, I have two sets of DR's if I need traction. But I like ripping windy roads during the summer in addition to drag racing, so I might want to spent the little extra if the nittos are much better than the sumi's. Just want to know how much if anyone has had any experience with either.

Tirebuyer.com is pretty cheap too and offer free shipping. Tire rack is in ct, worth the drive. Gotta pick up my tires there probably this weekend. Might make a day trip to Mystic aquarium with the fiancé and the little one and swing by on the way back and grab em. I ended up going with the Sumitomo's HTR's as well. Just need a decent summer tire to use as a commuter tire. Already have my dedicated winter/snow tires, so don't really need an all season.

Falken makes a damn good tire now! Basically would be like having 555r's all the way around.

I ran the sumi's on the z. They weren't a drag tire by any means but they weren't horrible. Gave enough traction to make the stock replacement clutch slip if I tried pounding second. I always thought the clutch was going cause it would easily roast through second with the 245's on it but when I took it apart the clutch still had plenty of life in it.
