thinking about a set of heads for t/a just wanting to see what set you guys think would be the best for a decent price. the price isnt to big of a deal but not looking into anything to crazy. been looking at these ? seem like a good deal http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=84&catid=40

I dont know much about LSx motors but I can tell you those heads are OK. Theyre decent but nothing to write home about going off the flow #'s, which to me dont mean shit. Other than that I've seen a couple people use them but if I remember right they seem to be a limiting factor on things.

Talk to Don. He is dealer for a lot of those companies and can tell you where to put your money and don't waste it on other things.
yea I was planning on talking to him about to it once I get money in hand but just wanted to get an idea
those are a GREAT set of heads to top off a moderatly cammed 346. and actually the ones i was going to go with on the LQ4 project i didnt end up getting into yet!
so pizza you think those would go good with my f13 cam?
i dont like the huge drop in exhaust lift in your cam for the exhaust weak 5.3 heads. the extra 2 degrees of durration may help a little. it will be tuned just fine if Don gets his hands on it But a better cam i feel may net you more power IF thats all your after. But say on a budget you'll be WELL OFF for a set of 1200 dollar heads. they should perform better then Fast As Cast Trickflows.

Don't know what the F13 Cam is for durations but more than likely the pistons would have to be cut to get the most out of the heads.(milled)
its a 230-232, 595./585. on a 114 lsa. im kind of just looking at a bolt up and tune kind of deal. not lookin to have to get into internals untill i go big.
i thought the f13 was 63x 61x lift cam?
