i wonder the same thing, its whats the best deal at the time. the brand generator is generac, they were use gm on most of the generators. they use a lot of Mitsubishi 4 bangers. some or the bigger units they use the ford v10 junk. or diesel which is john deer or fiat another junk.

thats about right. i maintain a couple big block chevys and they are 15 years old and run like a champ. they never had a prob with the engine just electronic issues.
