what stall do you have? the higher the gear ratio the less the stall works. id say for best all around performance 3.42 if your gunna track the car frequently and dont mind the 3000 rpm at 80mph then run 3.73's

There's another thread about converters here somewhere, I think it was Don who was saying that you want taller gears with a loose converter and shorter gears with a tighter converter, if I remember right.

depends on alot of things, weight of the car, horsepower, rpms where the engine makes its best power, tire size, rpm extension from converter slip.

Agreed, I have stock 2.xxs in back. I plan on going with a ~3000+ stall and 3.73 when I upgrade. Perhaps a beefier rear end so I don't break things with sticky tires and a stall.

a 2800-3200 is nice on the LT cars and a 3.73 is ALL you want to do with that car. lt is like BB HP hate to say it but LS cars are like hondas all up top

i never got around to it with mine but 3.73s were where i was headed. the 3.23s make it a fucking DOG out of the hole, if you dont feel it, look at any of my vids at the track, it sucks lol.
3.43s i really dont think would be a big enough jump over stock to really feel a different...and 4.10s are just unecessary..especially with any highway traveling
