the 555Rs are great on the street and they are absolutely fine in the rain and colder weather as long as u dont drive like a nut. If u dont go nuts with burnouts they will last u a good amount of time. I had mine on for 2 years and that was with many burnouts lol granted they were bald for awhile before i replaced them haha. Dont worry about the 10 bolt right now it will hold with gears in an auto. I put 3.73s in mine last summer and its great. Huge difference from the 2.73s! It will feel like a whole new car once u get rid of em. The gear ratio all depends what u want to do with the car in the long run. Id say do 3.42s but after driving around on the 3.73s my vote will always go for them from now on lol but like i said depends on ur plans.
