Well the point of the whole article is basically asking whats the limit on the motor and that people puss out and run 8psi when they could do more. I guess its up to you what you want to do. Run some e85 and turn up the boost a little to be safe.

Buddy of mine has a Sonoma or however u spell that, got a 6.0 out of the junkyard and a shit turbo ran a 10.1 last year not sure what the boost was but he paid 500 for it lol sounds fine by me

The motor was still in perfect shape internally and worked well up to 26 psi, but unfortunately we were out of available dyno time. The motor survived more than 60 runs, the majority of them more than 1,000 hp. We hammered this motor like we stole it, with repeated back-to-back pulls, but the little LS never missed a beat and was ready for more."

"The longevity of the combination is still in question, but having survived about 60 pulls under big boost means it could easily run a full season at the strip, making at least 1,000 hp. It might lose ring seal and drop power, but you can simply replace the rings. If the whole motor grenades in spectacular fashion, replace it with another $500 takeout. We'd caution that eventually you might drive over the crank at the drags and get oil under the tires, but as a detuned 700 or 800 streeter, this little sucker will be amazing."


^maybe you missed that part of the article? its saying both sides, reliability questionable? yes, but 60 pulls at 1000hp makes you wonder how long it would last around a very safe 750? maybe 4 or 5 years with some maintenance.

Maybe u missed what i meant those numbers are bs. It didn't last that many passes no matter what they say. Even 700-800 is really stretching a stock bottom end 700 is the end of the spectrum. You also missed the point of these $500 dollar motor that will cost you your life or car when it comes apart.
