Hood struts after hood swap??
I'm going to get the silver car in the next couple of days and probably gonna test fit the SS hood. Just wondering going from the heavy steel hood to super light floppy fiberglass do I have to get different hood struts? If so where do you get em? I heard of people cracking hoods because the struts were too stiff on different cars but maybe its negligible...

vfn makes lightweight struts i think they are like 40 bucks if i can remember correctly...i would not recommend the one strut as ud see on mine it eventually made one corner of the hood sit up higher

i used the stock ones and had no issue

Either stock worn out ones or one strut as joe sed. It will be fine.

People have used one strut for years and its not personal just what I have seen to work. It might be the strut that pushed your hood.
